About the Artist

Dave Aikins has spent more than 30 years working in children’s publishing, television, movies, and collectible design. His illustration work has appeared in hundreds of children’s books featuring beloved properties including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Blue’s Clues & You, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, The Cat in the Hat, and many more.

Dave is currently creating books connected to Netflix’s upcoming Dr. Seuss series and the third PAW Patrol movie.

During his 25 years as a product designer for The Bradford Exchange/Hamilton Collection, Dave has also designed collectibles featuring Batman ’66, The Nightmare Before Christmas, KISS, The Simpsons, Disney, Marvel, Rudolph, and classic monsters.

His pop-culture portrait work has become another signature part of his career, and his collection, The Art of Dave Aikins: Pop Culture Portrait Drawings, showcases his distinctive approach to some of entertainment’s most recognizable characters.
